Bellator signs former UFC heavyweight Timothy Johnson

Bellator MMA added another former UFC veteran to their roster in heavyweight Timothy Johnson, reports MMA Fighting’s Ariel Helwani.

The 33-year-old has reportedly signed an exclusive multi-bout deal with his new promotion after fighting seven times in the UFC between 2015 and 2018.

Johnson (12-4) alternated wins and losses in the UFC, most recently earning a unanimous decision win over Marcelo Golm in early February. He joins fellow former UFC heavyweights like Matt Mitrione, Roy Nelson, Frank Mir, and Quinton Jackson on the Bellator roster.
