Dan Hardy has truly tried to make the best out of this whole ordeal with “Wolf Heart” disease. He was diagnosed with Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome, which affects his heart. The condition forced him out of a planned fight on UFC on Fox this last month (April), and currently is keeping him out of the Octagon.
Hardy, though, appeared on an episode of the Joe Rogan Experience recently and confirmed plans to continue testing to see what steps he can take.
I’m going to go back and get some more tests done. Lorenzo has a special cardiologist that he wants me to go and see, so I’m going to get that done and just kind of see what my options are. I don’t see the point in having the surgery done if I have to have it done to carry on fighting. It just seems pointless to me.
Hardy is just a young 30 years old and has won his last two fights after a four-fight losing skid nearly lost his spot in the past few years Back in 2010, he challenged Georges St-Pierre for the UFC welterweight title.
Hardy has a lot on his plate as of now. Soon to be married, and dealing with what is seeming by the makes of things to be a major medical change in his lifestyle.
Do you want to see Hardy back in the ring? I for one think that he should, if he is truly healthy he should still be able to compete in the Octagon. I hope to see him fight again.
