Donald Cerrone and former two division UFC champion Conor McGregorcould be on the way to an Octagon battle later this year.
That’s because UFC President Dana White is looking to potentially put the bout between the two together, especially since they both earned the opportunity.
White also said during the press conference that the bout could potentially happen this summer, but an exact date wasn’t specified.
The UFC President is down for the two battling each other in the Octagon, as long as both McGregor and Cerrone are down for it as well.
“If these two want to fight, I’m down,” says White.
McGregor is currently serving a six month suspension for his role in the UFC 229 post-fight brawl, but is eligible to return to action by this summer. The UFC has announced their 2019 schedule through June, but nothing has been announced for the remaining summer months at this time.
