The welterweight is set to take on Alex Garcia at UFC Fight Night 128 on April 21 at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, N.J., according to Newsday’s Mark La Monica.
LaFlare is returning to his old stomping ground, having cut his teeth under the Ring of Combat banner in New Jersey. He suffered his first KO loss to Alex Oliveira in his July homecoming at UFC on FOX 25, a defeat that snapped a two-fight win streak. The 34-year-old boasts a promotional record of 6-2, with each victory coming by decision.
Garcia has alternated wins and losses over his past six fights, most recently rebounding from a June decision loss to Tim Means by submitting a debuting Muslim Salikhov in November. The Tristar man heads to the Garden State with a UFC record of 5-3.
Lightweight contenders Edson Barboza and Kevin Lee will clash in the main event.
