Jose Aldo has suffered an injury while sparing in training yesterday, which has left next month’s UFC title defense in jeopardy. The UFC has yet to comment, and the rumor has yet to be confirmed. Aldo’s camp is denying it, and says that “McGregor would love that”.
The first and only UFC featherweight champion, who is scheduled to fight Conor McGregor in the highly-anticipated main event of UFC 189 in Las Vegas on July 11,fractured his rib in training and will potentially require three-to-four weeks of treatment to get completely healed. As of right now, though, Aldo has not decided whether he will have to pull out of the fight. Hard to believe that this event will go one with such a substantial injury.
