It looks as though the Ultimate Fighting Championship’s first trip to Singapore has suffered a big blow injury wise, as according to reports, headliner Jake Ellenberger has been forced to drop out.
the injury took place at Kings MMA in Huntington Beach, California, and that it would likely take a month or so to heal.
As of Thursday afternoon the UFC had yet to announce any injury.
The 28 year-old hasn’t fought since he dropped a lack luster decision to Rory MacDonald at UFC on FOX 8. Prior to the defeat, the welterweight had gone 9-1 in his last 10 bouts, and was right in the thick of the title shot mix.
It’s also bad news for Saffiedine, as the former Strikeforce champ has made it clear he was hoping to make a big splash in his UFC debut, by taking out the promotion’s #5 ranked 170′er.
