Tamdan McCrory is returning to the UFC, this time as a middleweight.
McCrory, nicknamed “The Barn Cat,” will likely compete later this year. The 28-year-old owns a record of 13-3 with eight knockouts and four submission wins to his credit.
From 2007-09, McCrory went 3-3 over six UFC appearances. He defeated Ryan Madigan via first round knockout and choked out Pete Spratt in the second round.
McCrory’s losses were to John Howard via split decision and both Dustin Hazelett and Akihiro Gono via submission.
After leaving the UFC in 2009, McCrory signed with Bellator last year and scored a 21-second knockout of Brennan Ward. He added a February submission win over Jason Butcher to his resume.
Eight of his 16 career fights have ended in the first round.
“You don’t get paid by the minute, so my goal is always to win and to do it quick,” McCrory told UFC.com. “My M.O. all along has been to come out and look for the finish.”
